| Playing peek-a-boo. I see Sam! |
At 11 months old, Sam is definitely on the move. He has not yet started walking independently, but is getting more and more brave everyday. We sometimes find him just standing, without holding on to anything, and I don't think he even realizes that he's standing all alone. This past week was a bit tough as he had a pretty severe stomach virus that had him down for about 5 days, but he is now on the mend and making up for all the lost days in his appetite. Needless to say, there was lots of holding, cuddling, soothing and laundry. Lots and lots of laundry. So far our summer has been going well. We have been in the triple digits for over a week now and thinking of the heat and weeks ahead makes me sigh and long for cooler places. Oh well, such is living in Texas. We are always in search of ways to stay cool and often find ourselves in the little baby pool on our deck or the community pool in our neighborhood.

| Getting so big. It's hard to believe how quickly the time has gone. |

Priceless. His expression says it all. "What, do I really have to eat this spinach?" And then he threw it on the floor. |

Teething....on our cabinet handles. Forget all the fancy teething rings, this is what works for him I guess. |

As I am in the kitchen, I realize things are way to quiet, and this is what I find. Our sweet little boy, reading a book. |

Swimming time!! Seriously, we have totally gotten our $10 worth out of this baby pool and it's only June. And yes, we let him swim in the nude at home, so much easier that way. |
