Sam is One Year Old!!

Today Sam turns 1 year old! We thought we would post the month pictures over the past year. I know everyone always says how fast time goes, but it's really an understatement. It's crazy to believe we have a 1 year old! I can't help but watch the clock today, and think back a year ago, and to what exactly was happening hour by hour. At this very moment, as I write this, I was in the midst of contractions and starting to wonder why we had chosen a natural birth. We headed to the Birthing Center at 9am, and Sam was born at 1:35pm. He was a mover and a shaker and decided today was the day to make his grand entrance. We were so excited the first few moments after he was born that we forgot to look and see what he was. All we knew was that we had a baby! It took us a minute or two to realize we didn't know if he was a boy or girl and literally had to unwrap him from all the blankets and check out the machinery, and it was a boy!! Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes, cards and gifts. It is all so very appreciated! We are planning a little birthday celebration this weekend with all Sam's little buddies and big buddies. We will be sure to post more pictures!
