Malibu!

View from the back yard over the ocean
We were fortunate enough to be able to spend several days in Malibu, CA to celebrate Anna's belated birthday, which was slightly delayed with Macair's arrival. Eric, lovingly coordinated this trip for all of us to spend time together and just enjoy, which we did immensely. We spent 4 full days at this amazing house, that was located up in the hills and over looked the beach and ocean, it was an amazing view from all directions. The kids had a great time playing with their cousins and just ran and ran. And we had wonderful sister time to catch up and just float in the pool taking in the view. And we were able to spend a few days with Aaron, Eric's brother, and his super sweet wife, Samira and their daugter, Ari. We went to the beach several times, which had the best sand and was super kid friendly. It was a week of relaxation for sure. A big thank you to Anna and Eric for so graciously hosting all of us to celebrate this special time with you all!

Back of the house with hot tub, which turned into the kids swimming pool by day, hot tub by night. The outdoor living space was pretty amazing with the views and cool evening breezes
Good morning Macair! Macair was 4 1/2 months old and just growing so fast. I was so glad to spend time with him and snuggling and loving him. He's the best baby ever, so chill.
Beach time with Aunt Verna and Isla. The days were nice, not to hot, but not to cold to not enjoy being at the beach.  Isla loves scooping, watering and digging, so she was in heaven.
Macair and Mama enjoying some shade and the waves. Check out those chunky monkey legs!
Kids getting after it and working on a sand castle.

Soaking up some baby time!
Daddy and Isla walking on the beach on our morning quest to find the big rocks to climb on and explore
Girlfriend knows she's near Hollywood. She has her shades and is working on her pose.
Doesn't matter that we're at the beach. The trash truck is always the winner.
Aunt Anna and Sam playing beach frisbee, pretty cool.
Engineer Griffin has a plan. He is busy with his sand castle wall, do not interfere.
The sweet girl, Phi. She sat like this for a good 15 min. or so, just looking out to the ocean and
looking very contemplative. She was just taking it all in. She has a lot to think about.
Going to capture some waves
Back at work, need to water that sand. I love how she left her glasses and hat on the whole time. I was very surprised.
Now everyone is working on the sand castle. Which then turned into digging a big hole
Which then Sam volunteered to get into and get buried up to his neck
Cheese
ahhhhhh
Griffin needing a little rest time on Mama and Isla eating granola bars
So the big secret of the trip for the kiddos was that Ana and Elsa from the Frozen movie were going to make an appearance! Griffin and Phoenix have met them before, but this was Sam, Isla, and I think Ari's first time. Sam was star struck, he was pressed up against the wall for the first 5 min. not knowing what to do.
There was snow making, singing and face painting. The kids were in heaven.
A captured audience. Along with the singing was reading about the princesses adventures. The boys wearing crowns is hysterical. No gender discrimination here!!
Arms painted with Olauf and a fire breathing dragon...naturally.
