Easter 2014 and Fun Family Pictures

Happy Easter! It's hard to believe that Spring is here and it's nearly May. But we are glad to see the end of Winter as it seems that every other week someone was sick. And poor little Isla seemed to get the brunt of it. On those sleepless, baby-holding nights, I had to keep reminding myself that she was building up her immunity. She will be 7 months old in May and I am due to post some of her month photos, and big Sam is 2 years, 9 months and will be 3 in JULY! Crazy!! For Easter, we had the pleasure of having Jennifer, Evan, Vincent and Jennifer's Mom, Mary and Evan's parents, Kathleen and Buddy over for an egg hunt and dinner.  It was so funny because as we were all visiting, the boys were outside playing, but what they were really doing was eating all the Easter candy out of their loot. Luckily, I only put one Jelly bean and Smarty and maybe half of the eggs. Needless to say, they were still pretty sugar-ed up.
Jennifer and Evan just welcomed sweet baby Violet into the world and Sunday was her 1 week birthday. Big brother Vincent is very sweet with her and loves his new sister. Sam and Vincent had a great time hunting eggs and we were all able to have a nice visit, dinner and fun cuddle time with baby Violet. I feel very honored in that I was able to be present and an, "assistant doula" to help with Violet's birth, and I was fortunate to be present for Vincent's too. It is such an amazing experience to get to participate in a babies birth, especially if you aren't the one in labor...
Welcome to the world Violet, you are already so loved!
Another picture for the Senior album. Bunny ears, Cars underwear and shoes.
He's rockin'  it though.
Cutie pie Vincent getting after the eggs.
They were very helpful to one another pointing out eggs for each
other to grab. No throwing elbows this year.
I was a bit ill prepared and didn't have an Easter basket for Sam.
So he had to use his lunch bag.

Making Easter eggs! Jennifer and crew brought over whipped cream and we drizzled food coloring on
it and rolled the eggs around. Make fun mosaic patterns.

Grandma Kathleen and Violet
Verna took these pictures on a random Saturday morning and they turned out so great.

My favorite picture, babies loving each other

I thought this was fun

Toes!

Sam finally has started going potty in the toilet. But it took some bribing I have to admit. I told him if he goes potty on the pot (it had been a 5 month hiatus since his last attempt) that we would take him on a train ride in the park. He thinks about it and then says, "and get ice cream?" I said sure. Then he says, "and a cherry on top?" I said fine. Then he says, "Two cherries?" Yes, two cherries is fine. Then he marches down to his little Lightening McQueen toilet and potties. He drives a hard bargain that kid. So here he is with Aunt Verna cashing in his train ride and play time at the park.

Little Diva was chill-axin in the stroller with her shades.
