Old Settlers Bluegrass festival and Potty training

Quinn doing a re-lax-ing at the camp site
Two weekends ago was the annual Old Settler's Bluegrass festival, our 6th year. At first we started out with a tent for 3 years, then we progressed to a pop-up camper the first year Sam was with us and this year we had a full fledged RVcamper. I have to tell you, it really makes camping with kids so much easier and more comfortable. We felt like we were living the life of luxury and had water hook ups inside-it's really game changing when you don't have to go to the water spicket every 5 minutes. And if the kids were fussy or there were crying babies at night, you could hardly hear them in the camper. In years past, we had to practically smoother Sam to not wake up the entire camp.
Sam absolutely loved camping and running around the camp ground, and once again monitoring the poo trucks at work cleaning out the port-a-potties. Isla was indifferent, but then she's only 6 months old. I'm sad to say we did not get to listen to as much music as in the past and as we would have liked to. In keeping up with the kids and trying to adhere to some type of napping and feeding schedule, this did not lend to binging on music. However, one day I'm sure we will again. We honestly spent more time at the jumpy house play area than we did listening to bands. But we could hear the music in the distance and felt like that should count for something. We did get to listen to Jeff Bridges, which was a surprise that he was playing at the festival.
Overall we had a really fun time and the kids did great. Sam was so sad once again to have to let the camper, "go back to its home."
Sam had to have at least 2 glow sticks each night.
Here's our camp site, I'm afraid I didn't get a better photo.
We did all the cooking outside and it was lovely weather.
8:30am morning exploration. Many people are still sleeping, but not us, unfortunately. Sam kept trying to knock on peoples tent doors and walk in. What a nice wake up, a toddler trying to climb in your tent.
But what a beautiful day and the creek was fantastic.
So here is the Senior picture going in his year book. There is absolutely no better place than a bluegrass festival with a bunch of hippies to let your child run around naked. This tire was his, "potty spot" the entire weekend. It is really so much easier letting him be naked or pant-less for potty training.
Sam's favorite...watermelon
Sweet baby girl, she was such a good baby and so chill.
Mama and her little babe. She is just growing so darn fast,
I want to keep her small for a while longer.
Never fear-Sam found a sand pile near. So while Isla and Quinn napped, Sam played
with a few kids in the sand and I had some guilty quiet time in the chair watching and reading my book.
So we looked away, and Sam jumped in to help feed Itty-bitty.
Such a good big brother, he adores her.
Uhhh...having to take a water break from the jumpy houses. He was insane and jumped literally
until they deflated them on Saturday night.
A very crunchy little baby after 3 days of camping and no baths. But still so cute
and laying out in the sun and watching some music.
Daddy and Isla enjoying the evening
Inside of camper and so nice and relaxed.

Sam helping Daddy load up the RV. Handing back dropped wrenches.
Pooped out little camper-he was to tired to even eat lunch once we got home.
