Sam has an announcement to make....

He's going to be a big brother!! He's hoping for a baby sister, or maybe brother, but he really just wants a dump truck. The expected arrival date of the newest Holub member is early September, technically the 8th, but well see. And as people continue to remind me, I get to look forward to an ENTIRE Texas summer being pregnant and not luck out in July as with Sam. I'll be moving from one cool body of water to another looking for zero gravity, I'm already strategizing. I think we're going to have to get a bigger baby pool this summer for me and Sam, preferably one with a slide, or not... We couldn't be happier and look so forward to another baby! We have been reading books to Sam about having a new baby, becoming a big brother, and talking about the baby in Mommy's tummy, it's not registering for him yet. It will be interesting to see how he reacts once the baby actually gets here. He is very good with little babies at day care and often gives them drive by kisses, but things might be different with a crying baby in his own little domain. Oh, and as we did with Sam, we do not plan on finding out the gender, it'll be a surprise! We had our 20 week ultrasound last week and all looks well, very healthy and growing on schedule.

We had about a dozen pictures from the ultrasound and nearly all of them are somewhat scary looking.  The baby was just  hanging out with its mouth wide open and seemed to be looking straight at the US machine, but I"m sure it was just coincidence. My dear friend Debbie, her boys, Eric and Ian's opinion was the US pictures look like a snake, hippo or rino. None of these are very sweet and cuddly.
This is a 3D view. You can see the baby has it's left arm up around it's little face and just barely make out it's facial features. Already very kissable lips and cheeks!
Here is a 20 week belly picture during the bluegrass festival. People aren't joking when they say things happen very quickly to your body after the the first baby. I was already pulling out my maternity clothes at week 12-13 when it was like week 20 with Sam. Oh, the poor abdominal muscles.
And here's a sweet little picture of our little cook Sam. He always has to be right there, "helping" you to cook or really just tasting and fighting with the dog over yummy things that might happen to hit the floor. We're building up his immunites.
