Party-Rama! Samuel's Birthday Bash!!

We all had such a fun time celebrating Samuel's first birthday this past Saturday. We had some of our closest Texas friends over to help us celebrate. Most of them all have kids at least one year old or younger, so it was baby mania and such a good time! Despite being little, they all played together and got along really well and crawled after each other all around the house. Samuel was his usual jolly self and just laughed and shouted in delight most of the afternoon. We had the baby pool all filled and ready to go, but it was another scorcher outside, so everyone stayed in the AC except for Debbie's kids, Ian, Eric and her niece Emma. They had a ball with water balloons, playing in the baby pool and just hanging out with each other. The party went without a hitch and we thank everyone who made it and all the birthday wishes for Sam. He is a lucky little boy to have such good people and friends around him, as are his Mom and Dad.  Unfortunately, we do not have family living in the area, but we have developed an extended family network with friends, and are so glad to be apart of each others lives and watch our kids grow together. 

This was on Wednesday, Sam's actual birthday. Had to celebrate the day with
a little carrot cupcake, which he picked at gingerly, and then
shoved the whole thing in his little mouth.
