Grandma Marie's Visit

Waiting at the Salt Lick on Memorial day weekend
with a zillion people for Sam to people watch.
Mom came into town for a nice long visit and we all had a great time being spoiled by Grandma! We haven't seen her, other than Skyping regularly, since Christmas and boy was she anxious to get her hands on Sam! They had so much fun together and played, and played until they wore each other out. It was very sweet in that the morning after Mom went back to Kansas, Sam woke up and crawled from room to room looking for Grandma. Mom has endless energy and she restocked our freezer, cooked all sorts of yummy food, helped clean the house, and many other things that Mom's do. Oh, how we miss having a Mom around regularly. Thanks Mom!! And on top of it all, she babysat Sam while we were able to go out for date night, which happens very rarely and it was so appreciated.

We were able to do a little more around town this visit, than during her last visit, which was in August and Sam was only 3 weeks old and it was 110 degrees outside. We had to make the trip to Central Market, one of the best specialty grocery stores, as well as the huge Asian Market, and Whole Foods, which Mom loves. And of course, we did our fair share of eating and had to take her to the Salt Lick for delicious Texas bar-b-que.
Sweet Grandma and the Sam!
"I need some brisket RIGHT NOW!"
Date night at a cute outdoor French Bistro...so nice.
Had to add some pool time pictures. We can't resist skull
and cross bones clothing, don't ask me why.

"Really guys, do I have to keep this hat on?!"

 "Hello Ladies"
