We L-O-V-E Aunt Verna!

So, in addition to Papa, Pauline and Gracie's visit last weekend, Verna was also here for a glorious 13 day visit. It was so wonderful to have her here for so long and she got uncountable hours of baby holding, soothing, burping, feeding, dancing and yoga ball bouncing. Having her here is really like having an extension of  oneself, and she helped out more than we can say. Not only was she amazing with Sam, but she is a wonderful cook and made us lots of delicious meals and desserts!  I was also able to get an uninterrupted afternoon nap in...EVERY DAY (except for those days I was to stubborn to sleep because I wanted to stay up and visit). For any new sleep deprived parent, sleep is the most precious gift of all! We also had the ability to make some afternoon outings with Sam, which is always good to get out and about. We went to Baby Day at the movie theater one morning. This awesome theater provides one morning a week dedicated to bringing your baby. They keep the lights up a bit and volume down and if the babies cry, it doesn't matter, because it's all babies. You are free to roam the aisles if needed to soothe a fussy little one. When the time came for Verna to go back to Virginia, there were some tears, but we look so forward to her next visit!

Walking with Sam to help him settle down and get into sleep mode
Burp session and milk coma. Such a cuddle bug!
Enjoying some cooler morning time outside and silly faces provided by Auntie Verna
Can't forget the Odelia dog. She is one of Sam's and Verna's
biggest fans. I love the morning light in this photo.
"Hello sunshine!"
Lunch time!
Afternoon out at Central Market. First day of 90 degree
weather and we were soaking it up
Success...baby finally down
Baby day at the movies. Sam did great and slept despite the noise.
