Going to Seattle to see Uncle Chip and meet Aunt Sara!

We all made our first trip to the northwest last week for Chip and Sara's wedding. We had such a great time, and it was so nice to meet and visit with everyone, especially Sara's family and friends. We went a few days early to explore Seattle, which is such a fun and very laid back city. We went to China town, the EMP (Experience Music Project) museum and Pike Place Market. Of course, we had amazing food and lots of the famous Seattle coffee. Traveling with an infant puts an interesting spin and challenge on everything, but I think we did pretty well and Sam did fantastic with the time change, crazy schedule and meeting lots of new people. We made the beautiful drive about 1 1/2 hours north to Anacortis, where Chip and Sara live. We were able to hike everyday along the beautiful coastline and enjoy the huge trees. Much different than the dry Texas landscape we have here. We had a few days of sunshine, and then mostly overcast-drippy days, but not enough to keep us in. The wedding was wonderful, and Chip was dashing and Sara was gorgeous. Such a happy couple and we are so happy and excited for them on the beginning of this new journey.

MMMM Dim Sum!  It did't take long for Sam to figure out chopsticks!
He was all about the sticky rice and bao.
Pikes Place Market!  Watch for flying fish

Chip, Sam, and Sara, taking in the sunset.
Uncle Zack and Sam meeting for the first time. Such good buddies from the get go!
Faster Mom! Katie taking Sam for a spin.
There is nothing like a hike, to get a groom ready for the wedding.  A little pre-wedding hike.
We love the outdoors! Father like son.
We explore the beautiful coastline, as Sam rests up from a night of partying.
Sam made friends everywhere he went. Omar and Maddie were two of his favorites.
Why are we in Seattle again???  Oh yeah!  A wedding!  Chip and Sarah say
hello to Sam, while he checks out the cake.
Kissing in front of the beautiful Majestic Hotel, the wedding and reception site.
