Hooray for Uncle Chip!

Uncle Chip stopped by for a wonderful visit on his long drive from Florida to Kansas to Seattle. As you can see we immediately put him to work and he brought Samuel some very thoughtful Holub-esk gifts. We have many reasons to celebrate with Chip as he just received his Wings from the Navy and he and Sara got engaged! Now that he has completed his training in Florida, he will be stationed in Seattle for the next several years. We are excited that he will be stationed in such a cool place and anticipate future visits. Chip and Sara's wedding is tentatively scheduled for early Summer, and we can't wait to go! While Chip was here, he and Quinn had ample amount of time to get some hiking in, playing with Odelia, who absolutely loves Chip, boy movie watching (they had to introduce Sam to Indiana Jones movies) and Chip had a few comfort food meal requests that we were happy to oblige. It was so good to see him and we wish him luck in his move to Seattle and the beginning of his and Sara's wedding planning!

"Oh, come on Sam, help an Uncle out and please eat..."

A little movie watching with the boys.
Daddy, Uncle Chip and Sam. Sam wants to look everywhere but at the camera.
Lots of family resemblance!
Gifts from Uncle Chip. This is Hilda the Wilda beast, "Hilda-beast," and a very colorful book that is actually more educational and informative than one would expect. Thanks Uncle Chip!
