Isla and the start of the months

Here are months zero and one. I got a bit of a late start, so Isla was really about 2 weeks old for the zero months and five weeks old for the one month pictures. What can I say, things have been busy. She will be 6 weeks old tomorrow and is filling out more and more each day. Her skinny little bird legs are getting some chubs on them and her face is filling out with even bigger, kissable cheeks. We are finally getting into a schedule, kind of, well maybe a little more predictable anyways. She continues to sleep quite a bit with 1 1/2 to 2 hours of alertness and then it's nap time again. We have been blessed in that she is a good night time sleeper and just wakes up mostly to eat and then back to sleep. Much different than Sam, who needed to eat  every 2 hours, Isla stretches it out to 4 hours, which seems like a vacation. She is starting to coo and "talk" and smile, which is so wonderful to see. Sam is still being the model big brother. The other day, I was getting him up from his nap and he heard Isla crying. He looks at me with big serious eyes and says, "Mama, Isla is crying, let's go get her!" Once we got down stairs, I was rushing around to change him, get his afternoon snack and then sit down to nurse Isla, but needed to get Sam settled first. As I'm rushing around, Sam is running around the house hollering, "Mama, where is Isla's turtle (her pacifier) she needs it!" He was frantically running around the house looking for her turtle, and then yells at the top of his lungs, that he found it, and goes and literally jabs it in her mouth, which makes her cry louder. He doesn't have much of a gentle touch, but it was so thoughtful of him all the same. However, if she is crying in the car, he flips back her car seat shade, very annoyed ,to cover her, which I always think is a little funny.
